Schroth physical therapy for scoliosis

Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine. It is often found during adolescence, but can also occur in younger children and adults. Treatment of scoliosis is complex, because it is a 3D impairment. Traditional physical therapy is often ineffective at reducing curve progression.

Schroth physical therapy is unique because it addresses the 3D nature of scoliosis and uses breathing techniques, strengthening, and postural awareness.

Ashley Rice, PT, DPT is Schroth Barcelona Physical Therapy School (BSPTS) certified therapist. She is one of only a few physical therapists offering Schroth in the triangle and the only therapist offering vitual and in-home Schroth visits. Not near the triangle? No worries! We can treat virtually anywhere in the state of North Carolina.

Align Pediatric Therapy is one of the only Schroth providers in North Carolina offering virtual visits, so that we can help as many patients as possible across the state of North Carolina! We’re also offering group sessions online to allow for more availability and flexiblity.
